samjjana's philosophy

The Spiritual philosophy that we live by is non-religious and universal, embracing oneness, unity in diversity, peace within, peace for all, kindness, compassion, unconditional love and being the change we want to see in the world.

We believe that music of pure intention expressed through the heart has a profound and powerful effect – uplifting, nurturing, healing, re-balancing, stilling and unifying.

We chose the name ‘samjjana’ because it means ‘a ceremony for harmony, unanimity and consciousness’ (in Sanskrit). It is more about the collective than two individuals who happen to be performing. The combined intention and peaceful heart-centredness of musicians and audience together has a far greater effect for the benefit of humanity than those in the audience often realize.

We believe the music we play comes through us, not from us, and we dedicate our lives to offering this music in service. We feel very blessed to be on this journey, and to be able to share it with others.

"My heart is all gratitude to music,
For it keeps me all the time
In tune with my universal Self."
